Much of Oscar7's transponder circuitry is built using 'turret tags', if any of our readers are old enough to remember these things :-) Turret tags are used to provide anchor points for point-to-point wiring. It's quite incredible that a spacecraft built essentially on the 'kitchen table' using COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) components is still with us and providing excellent service.
