In memory of Mak SV1BSX.

Mak was an avid constructor of satellite related amateur radio equipment.
Mak's Webpages as well as an experienced operator. He elmered
several Greek amateurs. He preferred CW as an operating mode and like me,
had a particular fondness for AO-7.

He was extremely helpful to many amateurs worldwide, often sending
them components for some of his projects.

Mak also had e-mail 'QSO's with many of the well known 'callsigns' on the
satellites. He started the AO-7 DX list as well as a 'Satellite operators' chatroom.
He was also a founding member of EU-Amsat.

Mak was a GENTLEMAN and was *ALWAYS* prepared to help people.

As most people know, Mak was a founding member of EU-Amsat, together
with myself and GM1SXX. Mak did all the graphics and most of the work in
setting up the files on Yahoo.

This group *WILL* continue in his spirit and as he wished it to be.
I am very proud to have been called a good friend by Mak.
I am shocked at this terrible news and thank you Jimmy for the sad message.
On behalf of the entire group I offer commisserations - what a sad loss to
this group.

It is both appropriate and fitting that so many operators offered their
condolences here and on the Amsat-bb for the very sad loss of my dear
friend Mak SV1BSX.

He was an inspiration to many newcomers to the satellite scene and his
web pages will remain a source of inspiration to future potential Amateur
satellite operators.

I am literally devastated by the news. Mak will be so sorely missed.
My thoughts are with his family and friends, and with us all grieving the loss.

The entire Amateur Satellite fraternity and in particular EU-Amsat suffered
a great loss when Mak SV1BSX became Silent Key recently.

Mak was a founding member of EU-Amsat together with LA2QAA and GM1SXX,
a group dedicated to Amateur Radio Satellite enthusiasts.

Mak created the AO-7 DX list and was an avid AO-7 operator.

He worked very many people on 'The old Girl' (AO-7) giving many operators
their first AO-7 contact with Greece.

Rest in peace my dear friend.

Hello all.
I would like to express my deepest sorrow and my heartfelt condolences for the loss of Makis to the group.
The tragic loss struck me deep and left many "why him?" inside my head. I still remember how happy I was when I worked him on our 1st sat qso yelling "You see my friend I did it!" and also Makis
answering my questions on the birds during my first hamradio steps.
Inside my heart he will be greatly missed not only as a friend but also as my fist Sat Elmer. No comfort is quite enough to replace the loss.
His key is silent now on the birds but his legacy and his love will remain with us always. I remember telling him last time we met that "everything is a road".
Bon voyage, my friend. God bless you.
