How Much Power is Enough? Part 2

The paragraph below is an excerpt  from an email by LA2QAA.

If ever it needed mentioned, the contents of this paragraph demonstrate what can be done on amateur radio satellites

when the 'power merchants' AKA 'Alligators' are not around.

My reported QSO with Frank K9CIS in EM59MV from LA2QAA in JP33WB
on the 24-02-2007 at 13:26 on orbit 47708 turns out to be 7700Km
and not 5600Km as I originally wrote.

However, that's still not my best LEO DX, my best being a QSO I had
between Frei Island and Japan on FO-20 back in 1996. (unconfirmed).

My best *confirmed* QRP QSO's on an LEO are the regular 8428Km QSO's
I used to have with AL7JK in Eagle River, Alaska in 1996 on FO-20.

8428Kms on REGULAR QRP QSO's  with Twenty-Five Watts EIRP

I've attached a couple of QSL's showing his location. As you know,
mine is JP33WB. 63:00:00N and 07:48:00E. Frei Island.

PS.

Note the power ... 5W ... (25w EIRP) ... and we had regular skeds.
