About Baumanetz.

The student built Microsatellite Baumanetz was a product of the Bauman Institute and intended for launch into LEO but was unfortunately destroyed in a launch accident. The satellite was dedicated to celebration of the 175th  jubilee of Bauman University.  Baunanetz carried a DOKA-B Command-navigation system. This was intended to operate in the 2M and 70Cms amateur satellite sub-bands and with some interest being expressed recently in DOKA-B on the EU-AMSAT Yahoo group, we wanted to create a short article about what is generally known about the system.

The Bauman Institute's website lists the  requirements for the Command-Navigation system as follows..

Command-navigation system of the SC "Baumanetz" should provide:

The " DOKA -21" system will operate in an amateur frequency band. The "DOKA -21" system will operate in an amateur frequency band. This band opens for high number of Russian radio amateurs and radio amateurs of the entire world and widens project possibilities in the sphere of education and inter-college cooperation. The images below show the Baumanetz command-telemetry system in both English and Russian thanks to the work of Igor RW3DX.

These are in 'Thumbnail' form that link to full-sized images, so you can have good quality images.

Within Baumanets, the DOKA-B system appears to be interfaced to the remainder of the craft via the MIL-1553 Military-Specification Avionics serial bus system.    MIL-STD-1553

Below is another clickable 'thumbnail' showing how DOKA-B connects to the remainder of the satellite systems.
