For anyone wishing to build a CUBESAT , its possible to get a 'leg-up' in the form of a DIY CUBESAT kit. I'm not kidding! The Cubesat 'innards' are available as a kit containing the CUBESAT lightweight skeleton structure and CPU . The development system for CUBESATS is available as part of the package.

Prices appear to start around $5500 for the basic 1U structure. I'm sure that might drop were you to order a few thousand items :-)
