A Cheap and cheerful Beacon Keyer.... contd.

I wasn't really too happy with the keyer software, so I've tweaked it a bit to improve the timing. The new version can be downloaded from demo2.zip

You need the Mikrobasic PRO for PIC 2009.

A suitable PIC programmer is required to program the code into the IC.  Port B is again used for the data output and you can check the operation of the program with and LED + 270R resistor from a PortB pin to ground.  This will allow you to see the code being sent.  Alternatively, a cheap peizo buzzer can be used to listen to the Morse output and verify that it is sending correctly.

Remember to set the CPU clock speed to suit the xtal you use and don't forget to replace my message with your own!  As before, the characters being sent are 'echoed' on the serial port for verification of whats being sent.
